Make Another Version of Your Song
Love the song but not the take? Variation sings it again: subtly cleaner, a fresh take, or reimagined, for the whole song or just one section. Your original stays as it is.
Indian music fans know that one song can live many lives: the original, the sad version, the unplugged version, the lofi version for night drives. Variation brings that to your own songs. It generates a new take of the same song so you can pick the one that sounds right.
Choose how far it can go. Subtle keeps everything and gives you a cleaner performance. Fresh take sounds familiar but new. Reimagine is a looser interpretation. Add a style note such as "slower and sadder, only piano" and the new version leans that way.
Why creators choose Autunes
Three strengths
Subtle (same song, cleaner take), Fresh take (familiar but new) and Reimagine (loose interpretation).
Steer the mood
Optional style note such as "make it lo-fi", "sad, slow, piano only" or "add strings". Leave it empty to keep the original style.
Fix one section only
Select a part of the waveform and vary just that; the rest of the song stays identical.
Compare side by side
New versions play next to the original on the same page so you can A/B them before choosing.
How to make a new version
- Open the song in Studio and choose Variation.
- Pick Subtle, Fresh take or Reimagine.
- Optionally describe the change: sadder, slower, unplugged, lofi.
- Vary the whole song, or drag to select one section.
- On paid plans, tick Two takes to get two versions at once (2x credits).
Sad, unplugged and lofi versions
For a sad version, choose Fresh take and write something like "slow, emotional, soft piano and strings". For unplugged, try "acoustic guitar only, intimate vocal". For lofi, "mellow lofi beat, warm keys, vinyl". Subtle will barely change the mood; Fresh take or Reimagine give it room.
If you want a bigger change in genre while keeping the words, Remix (Pro and Creator) goes further than a variation.
Cost and timing
Each variation costs 5 credits on every plan, and a failed take is refunded. The free plan includes one variation so you can try it; Pro and Creator make them unlimited. A full-song variation takes about 3-6 minutes. Variation works on songs made on Autunes, not on uploaded tracks.
Frequently asked questions
Pay once, the song is yours — 0% royalties.
Buy Pro or Creator and every song in your account is yours; or own a single song for ₹9 in India or US$1.79 abroad, where it also gives back the credits the song cost to make (10, or 15 for Zori5.5 XL), so your next song is free. Use it commercially anywhere, release it on Spotify, Apple Music and JioSaavn, and keep everything it earns — Autunes takes no royalty. Every song comes with a creation certificate. How ownership works
Can I make a sad version of my song?
Yes. Use Variation with Fresh take or Reimagine and describe the mood, for example "slow, sad, piano only".
Will my original song change?
No. Every variation is saved as a new track, named "(Variation)", and the original stays untouched.
Is Variation free?
The free plan includes one variation. After that it costs 5 credits per take on Pro and Creator, with no limit on how many you make.
Can I change just the chorus?
Yes. Select the chorus on the waveform and vary only that section; the rest of the song is kept as it is.
