AI Cover Song Generator

A cover keeps the tune and the words and changes everything around them. Take a song you made or own and hear it as a soft unplugged version, a qawwali, a rock anthem or a lullaby.

A cover is the same song in someone else's hands: the melody and lyrics you know, played and sung in a new way. With AI you can hear that in minutes. Pick a song, describe the new style, and Autunes re-performs it while holding on to the tune and the words.

That is different from a remix. A remix is free to move the melody and change the structure; a cover stays recognisably the same song. On Autunes both come from one tool, Remix, with a Cover preset that keeps the original close.

Why creators choose Autunes

Melody and words stay

The Cover preset holds the original tune and lyrics and changes the arrangement, instruments and singing style.

Any style you describe

"Unplugged, one acoustic guitar", "sufi qawwali with harmonium", "80s synth pop", "lullaby with music box".

Your songs or your recordings

Cover a song you made on Autunes, or upload a recording you own, such as your band's demo or a traditional song you recorded.

Fine control

How to make an AI cover

Style covers, not celebrity copies

Many "AI cover" videos copy a famous singer's voice onto a famous song. That uses two things the creator does not own, the song and the voice, and platforms increasingly take those videos down. Autunes covers change the style of a song you have the rights to, so the result is yours to keep and share.

You can bring your own recording: Studio → Upload a track takes MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A or OGG up to 50 MB and 10 minutes. You tick a box confirming you own the audio or have the rights to change it, and the upload becomes a normal track in your library.

Traditional bhajans, folk songs and other compositions that are old enough to be in the public domain can be a good starting point, as long as the recording you upload is your own.

Want it sung in your own voice?

On the Creator plan, "Sing it in my voice" re-sings any song made on Autunes in your voice from a 20-second recording. Make the cover, then sing it yourself.

Frequently asked questions

Pay once, the song is yours — 0% royalties.

Buy Pro or Creator and every song in your account is yours; or own a single song for ₹9 in India or US$1.79 abroad, where it also gives back the credits the song cost to make (10, or 15 for Zori5.5 XL), so your next song is free. Use it commercially anywhere, release it on Spotify, Apple Music and JioSaavn, and keep everything it earns — Autunes takes no royalty. Every song comes with a creation certificate. How ownership works

What is an AI cover song?

A version of a song re-performed by AI in a new style while keeping its melody and lyrics. On Autunes it is the Cover preset of the Remix tool.

What is the difference between a cover and a remix?

A cover keeps the tune and words and changes the style. A remix can also move the melody and structure. Same tool, different preset and slider setting.

Are AI covers copyrighted?

The underlying song still belongs to whoever owns it. Covering a song you made or own is fine; covering someone else's song needs their permission before you publish it.

Which plan do I need?

Covers use the Remix tool, which is on Pro and Creator and uses credits from your plan balance.
