Add Instruments to Your Song With AI

Layer Studio builds a track one instrument at a time. Pick drums, tabla, bass, strings or backing vocals, describe the part, and AI writes it on its own lane while listening to everything already there.

Most AI music tools give you a finished song and nothing in between. If the drums are too busy or the song needs a flute in the second verse, the only option is to generate the whole thing again and hope. Layer Studio works the other way round: you start from a song and add parts to it one at a time, each on its own lane, so you decide what goes in.

Each new part is written while the AI hears the parts before it, so a bass line follows the drums and a string pad sits under the vocal instead of fighting it. You can mute, solo and set the volume of every lane, and when the mix is right, export the whole thing as one WAV file.

Why creators choose Autunes

12 instrument types, including Indian ones

Drums, percussion (tabla, dholak, mridangam, ghatam), bass, guitar, keys, strings, winds (bansuri, shehnai, flute), brass, synth, FX, lead vocal and backing vocals.

Each part hears the mix

Parts are written one after another, each listening to the lanes already in the project, so new instruments fit the key, tempo and feel of the song.

Only where you want it

Drag on the timeline to limit the next part to one section, such as a shehnai only in the intro or drums from the first chorus on.

Mix it yourself

Volume, mute and solo on every lane, free to change as often as you like. Export flattens the song and every unmuted layer into a single WAV.

Works on your own recordings

Upload a vocal take or a guitar demo and build the band around it, or start from any song you made on Autunes.

How adding a layer works

Open a song in Studio and choose Layers, or pick Layer Studio from the song's menu. Every song gets one Layer Studio project, so you can close it and come back to the same lanes later.

Add part or One-shot

Add part writes the instrument on its own lane and keeps your mixing control. One-shot instead remixes the whole song with the new instrument in it and saves the result as a new track. It is quicker when you just want to hear the idea, but you cannot change the balance afterwards.

If a part fails, the credits come back to your balance automatically.

Why build a song in layers

Producers have always worked this way: drums first, then bass, then harmony, then colour. Layering lets you hear what each part adds, take out what crowds the vocal and keep the arrangement simple where the song needs space. For Indian music especially, where a single dholak pattern or a bansuri line can carry the whole mood, choosing those parts yourself is the difference between a generic track and your track.

Frequently asked questions

Pay once, the song is yours — 0% royalties.

Buy Pro or Creator and every song in your account is yours; or own a single song for ₹9 in India or US$1.79 abroad, where it also gives back the credits the song cost to make (10, or 15 for Zori5.5 XL), so your next song is free. Use it commercially anywhere, release it on Spotify, Apple Music and JioSaavn, and keep everything it earns — Autunes takes no royalty. Every song comes with a creation certificate. How ownership works

Can AI add instruments to a song I already have?

Yes. Upload your track in Studio (MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A or OGG, up to 50 MB and 10 minutes), open it in Layer Studio and add parts one at a time. You confirm you own the audio or have the rights to change it.

Can I add instruments to just my vocals?

Yes. Upload the vocal recording and add drums, bass, keys or any of the 12 instrument types around it. Each part is written hearing your voice and the parts already added.

How much does a layer cost?

Each Add part costs 5 credits. Changing volume, mute or solo is free, and a part that fails is refunded.

Which plan do I need?

Layer Studio is on Pro (₹599 a month, 300 credits) and Creator (₹2,999 a month, 1,600 credits).

What file do I get?

Export gives you one WAV with the original song plus every layer you left unmuted, at the volumes you set.
