How Do You Make a Ramayan Audio Series for Kids in Hindi?

Published 31 October 2026

Short answer

Plan the Ramayan as a series of 5-minute episodes, one event each, and make each one in AudPod on Autunes: choose "From an idea", describe the episode and say it is for children, pick Hindi, a Male or Female narrator and the Kids story or Peaceful flute mood. Each episode is ready in a few minutes. Your first one, up to 5 minutes, is free; after that a 5-minute episode costs 10 credits.

There are good Ramayan recordings for children: kids' podcasts, audiobooks and dramatised series. What they cannot do is follow your child's pace. They may be too long, too dramatic for a five-year-old, in English when you want Hindi, or in Hindi when grandparents abroad want the children to hear it in Gujarati or Tamil.

With AudPod, the narration tool on Autunes, you make the episodes yourself: one event per episode, told for your child's age, in the language you choose, with gentle music under the voice.

A 12-episode plan you can start from

Each line below is one AudPod of about 5 minutes. Change, merge or skip any of them; tellings differ between families and regions, and yours is the one that counts at home.

  • 1. The four princes are born in Ayodhya; Ram's childhood with his brothers.
  • 2. Sage Vishwamitra takes Ram and Lakshman to protect his yagna.
  • 3. Sita's swayamvar and the breaking of Shiva's bow.
  • 4. Kaikeyi's wishes and Ram leaves for the forest with Sita and Lakshman.
  • 5. Bharat finds Ram in the forest and returns with his paduka.
  • 6. Life in Panchavati and the golden deer.
  • 7. Ravan takes Sita; Jatayu tries to stop him.
  • 8. Shabari's wait for Ram and her berries.
  • 9. Ram meets Hanuman and Sugriv.
  • 10. Hanuman crosses the ocean and finds Sita in Ashok Vatika.
  • 11. The bridge to Lanka is built.
  • 12. Ram returns to Ayodhya and the city lights diyas.

How to make each episode

  • Open AudPod and choose "From an idea".
  • Describe the episode in one or two lines and say who it is for, for example "for a 6-year-old".
  • Choose Hindi, or another language your family speaks. Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada and Urdu are also available.
  • Choose a Male or Female narrator, and keep the same choice for the whole series.
  • Choose Kids story for light, cheerful music, or Peaceful flute or Calm for bedtime.
  • Choose 3 or 5 minutes. Pro can go up to 10 minutes and Creator up to 20, but for small children shorter is usually better.
  • Press create. A 3-minute episode takes about 4 to 5 minutes to make.

A sample prompt

"Episode 7 of a Ramayan series for children aged 5 to 8: Ravan takes Mata Sita away and Jatayu bravely tries to stop him. Keep it gentle, no frightening details, and end with Ram and Lakshman learning what happened from Jatayu. Simple Hindi."

Telling AudPod the age and asking it to keep things gentle matters most for episodes with battles or demons. You know what your child is ready for.

Check before you play it

When AudPod writes from your idea, it is a retelling. Listen once before playing it to your children, and if a detail does not match the way your family tells it, switch to "My script" and write the episode yourself. Your words are read exactly as written, with a pause wherever you leave a blank line.

Privacy on the free plan

Free-plan AudPods are published to Browse → AudPod, where anyone can listen. If you add your child's name to the story, keep that in mind. On Pro and Creator, AudPods stay private unless you publish them.
