Chhath is sung, not just observed. The geets to Chhathi Maiya and Surya Dev are passed down in Maithili and Bhojpuri, and every family has lines nobody else knows. Until recently no AI tool could sing them without flattening the dialect into Hindi. Write the geet the way it is sung
Paste the lyrics in Devanagari exactly as your family sings them — Maithili endings like अछि, छथि, अहाँ and Bhojpuri forms like बाड़ी, करब are read as written. Mark the refrain with [Chorus] and repeat it where it returns. Keep lines short; Chhath geets are slow and every syllable is heard.

- Names: Chhathi Maiya, Dinanath, Surya Dev — spell them as you sing them.
Describe the arrangement
Keep it traditional and gentle: "Chhath geet, soft female vocal, dholak, harmonium, bansuri, 78 BPM, dawn at the ghat, devotional and calm". For a group feel add "women's chorus on the refrain". Avoid film-style drums; the model will follow the prompt and the mood will be wrong.

Timing for Chhath 2026
