Make Your Own Song with AI
A personalised song for a birthday, an anniversary, a wedding, your mum, your dad or your best friend, with their name sung in, from your own lyrics or just an idea.
You don't have to be a musician to make your own song. With Autunes you describe the song you want, or paste lyrics you have written, and AI composes the melody, sings the words and adds the music. A few minutes later you have a finished song you can play at the party, send to the person it is for, or turn into a lyric video.
The best personal songs are full of details only you know: their name, how you met, the nickname nobody else uses, the trip that went wrong, the thing they always say. Put those details in and Autunes writes them into the lyrics, or sings your own lines word for word. Names are sung when they are written in the lyrics, and every finished vocal is checked against the words so you can see the name came out right.
It works for a birthday, an anniversary, a wedding, a song for your mum or dad, a song for a friend who is moving away, or a song that simply says thank you. English is on every plan, including the free one, and new accounts get 15 free credits on signup, enough for a first song.
Why creators choose Autunes
No music skills needed
Write what the song is about in plain words. You don't need lyrics. Describe the song in a sentence or two, who it is for, what it should say and how it should feel, and Autunes writes the lyrics for you, then sings them.
Their name, sung properly
Names are sung when they are written in the lyrics. Spell them the way they are said, not only the way they are written: if a name is often misread, write it as it sounds (for example 'Neeve' for Niamh or 'Shiv-awn' for Siobhan), and the singer will say it the way your family does.
Your own lyrics, word for word
Already written a poem, a toast or a verse? Paste it in and Autunes sings your words as written, then checks the finished vocal against them line by line.
Share it as a video or a short clip
Any finished song can become a lyric video with the words on screen, in portrait for Reels, Stories and TikTok or landscape for YouTube. On the free plan you can make up to 3 a day with a small watermark, and the clean download is US$1.99 (£1.79, €1.99; ₹19 in India). Pro and Creator have no watermark. You can also cut a 15, 30 or 60-second version for Reels, Shorts, TikTok or a ringtone.

How to make your own song in 3 steps
Making a song with AI takes three steps, and the first one is the only part that needs you.
- Step 1: Write the idea or the lyrics. Describe who the song is for, the occasion and two or three details only you would know, or paste lyrics you have written. Write any names in the way they are said.
- Step 2: Describe the sound. Say the style (pop, acoustic, country, R&B, rock, a slow ballad), the kind of voice (male or female, soft or powerful) and the mood (funny, sweet, emotional, upbeat).
- Step 3: Make it, check it and share it. Listen to the finished song and read the lyric check, which compares what was sung with your words. Then share it as a lyric video, cut a short clip, or download it.
Personal song ideas to try
Start from the person and the moment, then add the style. A few that work well:
- Try: 'Upbeat pop birthday song for my sister Chloe turning 30, she loves karaoke and burnt toast, fun female vocal, party chorus with her name.'
- Try: 'Acoustic love song for our 10th anniversary, how Sam and I met at a bus stop in the rain in Manchester, warm male vocal and guitar.'
- Try: 'Romantic wedding song for Priya and Daniel's first dance, slow piano ballad, female vocal, the beach in Goa where he proposed.'
- Try: 'Sweet country song for my mum Linda on Mother's Day, thanking her for the school runs and the Sunday roasts, gentle female vocal.'
- Try: 'Funny rock song for my dad Steve's retirement, his golf obsession and his terrible jokes, big guitars and a shout-along chorus.'
- Try: 'Heartfelt acoustic song for my best friend Jess who is moving to Sydney, all our late-night chats, soft female vocal, hopeful ending.'
Make it sound like it's really for them
Write their name into the chorus so it comes back every time, and spell it the way it is said. Add the details that make it theirs: the city, the pet, the nickname, the song you always sing in the car.
Specific beats general. 'You always burn the toast' says more than 'you are a wonderful person'. If you write your own lyrics, keep the lines short, repeat a simple chorus with their name in it, and mark the parts with [Verse] and [Chorus] if you want a clear shape. Songs run up to 3 minutes on Free and Pro and up to 5 minutes on Creator.
Free songs are for personal use, which covers playing the song at the party and sending it to the people it is for. For a public post on YouTube or Instagram, Pro and Creator include a commercial licence.
Frequently asked questions
Pay once, the song is yours — 0% royalties.
Buy Pro or Creator and every song in your account is yours; or own a single song for ₹9 in India or US$1.79 abroad, where it also gives back the credits the song cost to make (10, or 15 for Zori5.5 XL), so your next song is free. Use it commercially anywhere, release it on Spotify, Apple Music and JioSaavn, and keep everything it earns — Autunes takes no royalty. Every song comes with a creation certificate. How ownership works
Can I make my own song with AI if I'm not a musician?
Yes. Describe the song in plain words, or paste lyrics you have written, and Autunes writes the music, sings the words and mixes the song. You don't need to play an instrument or read music.
Can I create a song with my own lyrics?
Yes. Paste your lyrics and Autunes sings them as written. On the free plan, songs from your own lyrics use Zori5.5 XL (15 credits). Every finished vocal is transcribed and compared with its lyrics, so a misheard word or a name sung wrong shows up straight away. On Pro and Creator, Auto-Fix (10 credits) re-records only the lines that came out wrong and keeps the rest of the song, and Re-sing lets you pick the lines to redo yourself.
Can the song include someone's name?
Names are sung when they are written in the lyrics. Spell them the way they are said, not only the way they are written: if a name is often misread, write it as it sounds (for example 'Neeve' for Niamh or 'Shiv-awn' for Siobhan), and the singer will say it the way your family does.
What if I don't have any lyrics?
You don't need lyrics. Describe the song in a sentence or two, who it is for, what it should say and how it should feel, and Autunes writes the lyrics for you, then sings them.
Is it free to make a personalised song?
Yes, you can start free. English is on every plan, including the free one, and new accounts get 15 free credits once, on signup. A song costs 10 credits on Zori5 Turbo and 15 credits on Zori5.5 XL; on the free plan, XL is used when you paste your own lyrics, so your first song is covered either way. Free songs are for personal use.
How do I send the song to someone?
Turn it into a lyric video with the words on screen, in portrait for Reels and Stories or landscape for YouTube, or cut a 15, 30 or 60-second clip. To keep the song file itself, download it with its licence (US$1.79, ₹9 in India) or on a Pro or Creator pass.
How much does it cost?
Prices are shown in your local currency at checkout. A single song downloads with its licence for US$1.79 (£1.29, €1.59; ₹9 in India), and outside India that also gives back the credits the song cost to make. Pro is about US$7 for 30 days (₹599 in India) and Creator about US$36 for 30 days (₹2,999 in India); both include downloads and a commercial licence for YouTube, Instagram and streaming. Passes never auto-renew.
Can I hum a tune, or make it sound like a famous singer?
No. Autunes does not imitate any real artist's voice. You describe the kind of voice you want (male or female, soft or powerful, young or warm) and the style, and the song is sung by Autunes's own voices. It also does not turn humming into a song: you start from words, either your lyrics or a description.
