While the song plays, a lane shows the melody and a second line shows your voice, so you can see the moment you go flat on a long note or rush a line. Every line gets its own score, and the song gets a total when you finish.
You sing over songs that people have published on Autunes, in Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, English and many other languages. Each one is prepared for you before the first take: the original singer is separated from the music, so you hear a clean backing track and, if you want it, the original voice quietly underneath to follow. How a Karaoke session works
Pick a song and Autunes gets it ready to sing, which takes a short while the first time and is instant after that. A quick check follows: stay quiet for a second so the app can measure the room, then say something to test the microphone. If you are wearing headphones, tick the box; the app then knows the mic hears only you.
Then sing. The lyrics scroll with the song, the melody lane moves under them, and your pitch draws on top. When the song ends you get your total, your line scores, your weak spots and the coach's summary. You can save a score card image to share, and your best scores stay in your history.

Why Karaoke is billed separately from song plans
Karaoke and song-making cost different things to run, and they are used by different people. Making a song is paid for with credits. Singing is not: before you sing a song for the first time, Autunes prepares it on a GPU, separating the original singer from the music so you get a clean backing track and a quiet guide vocal. After you sing, an AI coach reads your take line by line and writes the report and the tips. Each song you sing carries its own cost, whether or not you ever make a song yourself.
Bundling all of that into Pro would have meant raising the price of Pro for everyone, including the many people who make songs and never sing along. It would also force someone who only wants to practise singing to buy a song-making plan they do not need. So Karaoke has its own small allowance and its own optional pass.
Everyone gets 4 different songs a month on every plan, including Free, and can sing those songs again as often as they like. Pro and Creator add the full coach report and a tip for every weak line. If you sing a lot, the Karaoke pass raises the song limit for 30 days: ₹99 for 30 songs or ₹199 for unlimited songs. It works on any plan, is a one-time payment, and never renews on its own.
What you can and cannot sing
Karaoke works on songs published on Autunes. That is a large and growing library of original songs across many languages and genres, but it is not a catalogue of film or chart hits, and you cannot upload a song from elsewhere to sing over. We would rather say that plainly than have you find out after signing up.
Frequently asked questions
Is Autunes Karaoke free?
Yes. Every plan, including Free, can sing 4 different songs a month and sing them again as often as they like. The free plan shows a short summary and your biggest weak spot. Pro, Creator or a Karaoke pass add the full coach report and a tip for every weak line.
Can I sing Bollywood or other famous songs?
No. Karaoke works on songs published on Autunes, which are original songs made by its community. You cannot sing film songs or upload a song from outside Autunes.
Do I need to download an app?
No. Karaoke runs in the web browser on a phone or a computer. You need to allow microphone access the first time.
What if I sing in a lower key than the original?
That is fine. Singing an octave lower or higher is not counted as wrong, and neither is keeping the whole song a whole number of semitones up or down. The score is about staying in tune with the melody in your own key.
Why is Karaoke not simply included in Pro?
Every song you sing is prepared on a GPU and every take is read by an AI coach, so singing has its own running cost. Keeping it separate means song-makers do not pay for singing they never use, and singers do not need a song-making plan. Everyone still gets 4 songs a month free.
