Copyright & Takedown
Last updated: September 18, 2026
If something on Autunes infringes your copyright, write to aakash@autunes.com with the details below. We aim to review every notice within two business days and remove infringing material as soon as we have confirmed it.
What Autunes hosts
Two different kinds of audio live on Autunes, and they are treated differently:
- Songs generated on Autunes. Created by our own Zori models from a user's description or lyrics. These are not copies of any existing recording.
- Files a user uploads. Users upload audio to remix it, add instruments to it, separate its stems or edit it. Before uploading, a user must confirm that they own the recording or have the rights to use and modify it.
Uploaded files, and anything made from them, stay private to the account that uploaded them. They are not published to Discover, not listed publicly and not shared with other users.
Reporting infringing content
Send an email to aakash@autunes.com with the subject line "Copyright notice" and include:
- The work you own, and enough detail to identify it (title, artist, release, ISRC if you have one).
- A link to the material on Autunes, or the exact page or file you are reporting.
- Your name, company and contact details.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by you, your agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
You do not need a lawyer or a specific format to write to us. If something is clearly wrong, tell us plainly and we will look at it.
What happens next
- We acknowledge your notice by email.
- We review it, normally within two business days.
- If the material infringes, we remove or disable access to it and tell the user who uploaded it what was removed and why.
- Accounts that repeatedly upload material they do not have the rights to are suspended, and closed if it continues.
If your content was removed by mistake
Write to the same address with the subject "Counter-notice". Tell us what was removed, why you have the right to use it, and how to reach you. If the rights holder does not pursue the matter, we will restore the material.
A note on AI-generated music
Our models are not trained to reproduce any particular artist, and Autunes does not offer voice cloning onto recordings you did not make on Autunes. If you believe a generated song copies a specific existing recording, report it the same way and we will listen to it ourselves.
