Languages you can choose
Autunes lists each language separately, and the singer is guided by the one you pick. Among the European ones: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Romanian, Hungarian, Greek, Swedish and Russian, plus Turkish.
The one setting that matters
Pick the vocal language explicitly instead of leaving it on auto. Mixed or short lyrics can be misread as English, and then the singer uses English vowels. With the language set, a French “r”, a German “ch” and a Portuguese nasal vowel come out the way a native singer would sing them.
Write lyrics with their accents and special letters (é, ü, ã, ł, ő). Dropping them changes pronunciation.
Styles that suit each language
- French: chanson with accordion and nylon guitar, French pop, French rap.
- German: Schlager for parties, German pop ballad, Deutschrap.
- Portuguese: bossa nova, sertanejo, Portuguese fado, Brazilian funk.
- Italian: canzone pop ballad, Italo-disco, Neapolitan serenade.
- Dutch: Dutch pop, levenslied for a birthday or party.
- Polish and Romanian: pop, disco polo, manele-style party songs.
If you don’t want to write lyrics
Describe the song in your language or in English (“a German birthday song for Oma Hilde, 80 years, warm Schlager”), set the vocal language, and Autunes writes the lyrics in that language before singing them.
