Style: Dark ambient atmospheric acoustic Punjabi folk lament fused with Carnatic classical vocal melody ornamentations, haunting intimate female vocal, deeply eerie, melancholic and nocturnal, Carnatic-inspired melodic phrasing with expressive gamakas and microtonal slides, Kapi-like emotional colour, Punjabi folk vocal inflection, extremely sparse arrangement, sustained tanpura drone, occasional low ambient drone, ALMOST NO PERCUSSION, NO CONVENTIONAL BEAT, NO POP DRUMS, NO EDM ELEMENTS, close-miked breathy female voice, fragile vocal cracks, subtle breath catches and restrained weeping, long silences between phrases, dark analogue ambience, intimate recording, spacious reverb, organic imperfections, cinematic sound design, unresolved emotional ending, haunting rather than dramatic, minimalist, hypnotic, sorrowful, ancient-meets-modern atmosphere. Very slow Tempo: ~54–60 BPM, but with a free-time. Rhythm: Almost absent in the first half. A very soft pulse can emerge later. • Instruments: Tanpura drone, one muted Carnatic violin, extremely sparse low drone, occasional soft frame texture. No full drum groove. Vocal: Female, intimate, breathy but technically strong; Punjabi diction; long gamakas and delicate slides. Texture: Dark, nocturnal, slightly degraded analogue ambience. Emotion: She isn't singing about sadness. She sounds as if she is trying not to cry while remembering someone she loves.Weeping: Use very occasional involuntary vocal breaks, breath catches and one or two restrained sob-like exhalations. Don't turn it into theatrical crying.
