سَأَحْكِي عَلَيْكُمْ قِصَّةً غَرِيبَةً جِدًّا عَجِيبَةً

وَكَانَ زَمَانُهَا الظُّهْرَ وَأَمَّا مَكَانُهَا الْقَاعَةَ

وَقِصَّتُنَا بِلَا بَطَلٍ وَلَا نَجْمٍ ذِي أُبَّهَةٍ

نَادَتْ: أَيُّهَا الطَّالِبُ أَتَحْسَبُ نَحْنُ فِي حَفْلَةٍ؟

فَلَمْ يَخْرُجْ وَلَمْ يَنْطِقْوَلَمْ يَنْفُثْ بِبِنْتِ شَفَةٍ

صَاحَتْ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى: أَنْتَ الْيَوْمَ فِي أَزْمَةٍ

بِرَغْمِ وَعِيدِهَا هَذَا فَصَاحِبُنَا كَماالصَّخْرَةِ

جُنَّ جُنُونُ سَيِّدَتِي وَاشْتَعَلَتْ كَالْجَمْرَةِ

لِتُعْلِنَ وَهِيَ هَارِبَةٌ لَا دَرْسَ وَلَا حِصَّةَ

وَقَبْلَ خُرُوجِهَا الْغَاضِبِ ضَجَّ الْجَمْعُ بِالصَّفْقَةِ

فَقَالَتْ بِعَيْنِهَا الْحَمْرَاءِ: لَنَا جَوْلَةٌ، لَنَا صَوْلَةٌ

لَمْ نَأْبَهْ لِمَا قَالَتْ فَكَيْفَ نَخَافُ مِنْ حُرْمَةٍ؟

مَكَثْنَا بُرْهَةً نَضْحَكُ لِأَنَّ الْأَمْرَ كَالنُّكْتَةِ

عَادَتْ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى بِرِفْقَةِ مَنْ بِهِ سُلْطَةٌ

وَكَانَ الْحَامِي ذَا شَأْنٍ وَذَا بَأْسٍ وَذَا خِبْرَةٍ

سَبَّ الْجَمْعَ كُلَّهُمْ وَلَمْ يَتْرُكْ لَنَا سُبَّةً

وَقَالَ: أَيُّهَا الْجُبَنَاءُ أَلَا فَلْتُخْرِجُوا الْفَسَقَةَ

لَمْ يَخْرُجْ وَلَا أَحَدٌ فَكُلُّ الصَّفِّ فِي صَدْمَةٍ

وَرَدَّدَ بَعْضُنَا سِرًّا أَحُكْمَ الْفِسْقُ بِالصَّفْقَةِ؟

نَابَ صَاحِبُ الشَّأْنِ وَآبَ وَكُلُّهُ حَسْرَةٌ

تَنَاقَشْنَا بِلَا وُدٍّ نِقَاشًا شَتَّتَ الدُّفْعَةَ

صَاحَ الْبَعْضُ: يَا قَوْمُ أَلَا فَلْتُخْرِجُوا السَّفَلَةَ

وَنَادَى الْبَعْضُ: يَا صَاحِ أَلَسْنَا كُلُّنَا دُفْعَةً؟

أَتَاهُمْ صَوْتُ دَجَّالٍ بِقَائِمَةٍ بِهَا خَوَنَةٌ

وَضَمَّتْ بَعْضَ أَسْمَاءٍ فَلَمْ تَتَجَاوَزِ الْعَشَرَةَ

وَكَانَ صَاحِبِي نَصْرٌ بِتِلْكَ الْقَائِمَةِ السَّوْدَاءِ

فَدَافَعْتُ دِفَاعًا مُرًّا وَلَمْ أَنْسَ لَهُ الصُّحْبَةَ

فَظَنُّوا أَنِّي مُتَّهَمٌ وَأَنِّي صَاحِبُ الْفِعْلَةِ

وَقَادَ الْحَمْلَةَ الْكُبْرَى زُلَيْخَةُ رِفْقَةَ الشِّلَّةِ

تَحَالَفْنَّ عَلَى الْإِفْكِ فَبِئْسَا تِلْكُمْ زُمْرَةٌ

تَعَاضَدْنَّ مَعَ ذَكَرٍ فَكُنَّ كُلُّهُنَّ نِسْوَةً

غَضِبْتُ شَرَّ مَا غَضَبًا فَكَيْفَ أُجَازَى بِالتُّهْمَةِ؟

فَلَمْ يَزْجُرْهُمْ غَضَبِي أَعَادُوا الْكَرَّةَ ب
