ElevenLabs did not enter music as a garage songwriter tool. It entered as the company that already won text-to-speech, and it brought Merlin/Kobalt-style licensed-provenance messaging with it. That is catnip for brands and agencies who were burned by training-data headlines around Suno and Udio. If your procurement team asks "was this trained on licensed material?" ElevenLabs currently has the cleaner slide.
Autunes entered as a song product for people who want a track, often in an Indian language, often paid in rupees, often edited after the first take. Those are different buyers. Pretending one tool subsumes the other is how comparison posts become spam.
Where ElevenLabs Music is actually stronger
Voice cloning and speech naturalness are their home turf. If the "song" is really a sung-adjacent vocal bed for an ad, and the same vendor already clones your brand voice for narration, staying in one contract is rational. API reliability and enterprise SSO are also their game. We do not currently sell Autunes as an enterprise voice platform.
Where Autunes is stronger — the fields we dominate
Full-song composition: verse/chorus architecture, Indian film and folk idioms, bilingual Hinglish, festival music, Long Forms past a radio edit. Studio after the generate: stems, section repair, variations, short-form crop, MIDI on paid, FLAC on Creator, Jam (your vocal, the band arranged under it). Payments: Razorpay, UPI, ₹599 Pro versus a dollar price that hurts when the card is INR. Free tier you can actually iterate on (25 + 20/day).
Language: Fifty-plus vocal languages with a real phoneme lock. This is not a marketing row on a landing page. Hindi and Punjabi quality is why people stay. Spanish, Korean, Japanese and the rest of ACE-Step's native set are supported as singing languages, not afterthoughts.
- Pick ElevenLabs Music: voice-first teams, licensed-training optics, API/enterprise, English/European commercial spots already in that stack.
- Pick Autunes: original songs, Indian languages, download + edit, UPI pricing, bhajan/aarti/rap/Bollywood, creators who want a Studio not a TTS invoice.
- Pick Suno: largest English community and tutorial graph. Not because the model is magically better on Hindi.
Pricing and export, which is what most comparisons skip
A music tool you cannot export is a radio. Autunes exports. ElevenLabs Music exports on paid plans — verify current plan terms, especially if you need stems or DSP release. Udio, for contrast, still does not. Autunes Pro is ₹599/month for 300 credits, XL engine, commercial licence, stems and cloning. Creator is ₹2,999/month for heavier volume, batch and lossless. If you generate ten Hindi songs a month for Reels, Pro is the spreadsheet winner against a USD seat that also charges you to exist in their voice studio.
How to decide in one test
Take the same lyric sheet. Run it on both. Listen for: did it sing the words, in the right language, with a mix you could post, and did you get a file. That test ends more debates than a feature matrix. If Autunes wins the listen on your language, use Autunes. If ElevenLabs wins because the voice is a clone you already own, use ElevenLabs. Dual-stack is allowed; loyalty to a brand is not a music skill.
